Built to be used by everyone.
Lumii is for clinics that look after people, so this site should look after the people using it. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as part of the work — not a box to tick later.
What we've built in
- Semantic, landmark-based HTML with a working skip-to-content link, so screen readers and keyboards can navigate the structure.
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a single, clearly visible focus ring.
- Text and interface colours are chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast on our light and dark themes.
- All animation — including the Lumii star — is purely decorative and is switched off when your device requests reduced motion.
- Layouts use relative units and logical properties, so the site reflows cleanly when you zoom to 200% or change text size.
- Images and icons are either given descriptive alternatives or marked decorative so they don't add noise.
Where we're still improving
Accessibility is ongoing work. A small number of embedded third-party tools—for example, the bot-protection challenge on the access form—may not yet meet the standard we expect of the rest of the site. If something gets in your way, we'd rather hear about it than have you assume we know.
